  1. For #3, I chose D, “Theories define scientific laws whilst hypotheses are used to set up experiments.” The answer key selected b. I don’t agree with this because B states that “A theory is an explanation for a very general phenomenon or observation…” A theory is based on extensive experimentation and research and focuses specific observations.

    For #5, I chose B. The answer key selected C. C mentions how the “possible outcomes led to distinct, unambiguous conclusions.” Unambiguous means “not open to interpretation.” Therefore, this statement concludes that an experiment cannot be falsified or debated which doesn’t align with the Scientific Method.
